Fattoria dei Barbi has anchored Montalcino's winemaking heritage since the late 18th century, when the Colombini family—rooted in the region since 1352—established their presence here. The 350-hectare estate, extended across southern Tuscany, began producing Brunello in 1892 and pioneered its export across Europe, America, and Asia. Today, under Stefano Cinelli Colombini's stewardship, the winery channels centuries of Montalcinese know-how into wines of singular renown, while welcoming visitors to experience the philosophy underlying its blue label.
