La Querce Seconda

At the northern boundary of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, La Querce Seconda marks the edge of Chianti Classico territory. This compact seven-hectare estate, managed by Niccolò Bernabei and his Swedish wife Linda, has certified organic farming since 2001. Their 3.6 hectares of Sangiovese vines yield Chianti Classico in multiple expressions—vintage, Riserva, and Gran Selezione—alongside a Tuscan IGT. Visitors can taste directly at the winery, experiencing how a family operation navigates the precision demands of Tuscany's most exacting denomination.
