Madonia Giovanna

Madonia Giovanna tends a historic vineyard in Bertinoro, inherited from her grandfather Pietro's post-war acquisition. In 1992, she reshaped the estate with determination, replanting and expanding the vines to pursue serious winemaking. Her vision required reconfiguring rows of head-trained alberello vines around decades-old olive trees—scattered relics of her grandfather's Sicilian nostalgia—creating geometric asymmetries she has preserved. Today, the estate produces Romagna Albana DOCG in both dry and passito styles, welcoming visitors for tastings.
