Marchesi Pancrazi commands 5 hectares of vines at Villa di Bagnolo, a Renaissance villa dating to 1500, set among 45 hectares of forests near Montemurlo. A vivaio's mistake in 1965 introduced Pinot Nero to this Sangiovese heartland—later recognized by oenologist Nicolò D'Afflitto as a serendipitous gift. Since 1989, the estate has pioneered pure-strain Pinot Nero in Tuscany, alongside olives and indigenous woodland. Open for tastings.
