Bussoleno

Forged along the historic Via Francigena trade route descending from the Moncenisio pass, Bussoleno bridges alpine transit and deep-rooted agricultural traditions in the Susa Valley. This mountain corridor hosts 16 protected denominations. Chief among them is the Valsusa DOC, a heroic alpine wine cultivated across a restricted zone of just 19 municipalities. On the same rocky slopes, the sweet Marrone della Valle di Susa IGP chestnuts thrive. These local specialties showcase how a medieval merchant highway evolved into a protected sanctuary for high-altitude viticulture and traditional Piedmontese gastronomy.
