Bortigiadas

Bortigiadas clings to the wind-carved granite slopes of northeastern Sardinia’s historical Gallura highlands. This rugged terroir, swept by Mediterranean winds, defines the character of the 16 protected denominations overlapping here. Foremost among these is Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a mineral-rich white wine produced within a select zone of 23 municipalities. The granite soils also nurture the vineyards of Colli del Limbara IGT, yielding wines shaped by intense diurnal temperature shifts. This specific geologic makeup gives the local grapes an aromatic concentration that cannot be replicated outside these ancient Gallurese hills.
