Boroneddu

High up in Sardinia's basaltic Guilcer historical region, 216 meters above sea level, the tiny outpost of Boroneddu nurtures a specialized grape growing culture. This wind-swept territory contributes to 19 protected denominations, led by the highly localized Tharros IGT, a wine designation shared with only 77 neighboring municipalities in its 78-town zone. Here, the volcanic soils also yield the prestigious Cagliari DOC, alongside rare historical varietals like Nasco di Cagliari DOC. These low-yielding vines thrive in a dry micro-climate, capturing the saline essence of the nearby Oristano gulf in every glass.
