Jerzu

Jerzu, a rugged Ogliastra enclave of under three thousand residents in eastern Sardinia, leverages its steep limestone cliffs and dramatic temperature swings to craft wines and pastas of intense character. This distinctive terroir underpins 17 protected denominations overlapping the municipality. Foremost among these are the grape harvests destined for the Ogliastra IGT, a wine designation shared with only 25 other municipalities. On the culinary side, local hands shape Culurgionis d'Ogliastra IGP, a distinctively pinched, potato-and-mint stuffed pasta born from this same mountainous terrain.
