Across its fertile soils, this metropolitan enclave nurtures 19 protected denominations. Chief among these is the prickly Carciofo Spinoso di Sardegna DOP, an artichoke that thrives in the Campidano microclimate, alongside historic, low-yield wines like the sweet Girò di Cagliari DOC.
