Siurgus Donigala

In the rolling hills of the Trexenta subregion, north of Cagliari, Siurgus Donigala thrives on fertile, sun-baked soils that have sustained agricultural life for centuries. This distinct inland terroir nurtures 19 protected denominations, led by the highly localized Trexenta IGT wine, which is limited to a small zone of just 14 municipalities. The calcareous clay slopes also yield the rare, amber-hued Nasco di Cagliari DOC. This unique landscape, sheltered from harsh coastal winds, concentrates sugars and aromatics in the grapes, defining the robust character of these central Sardinian wines.
