Gonnesa

Gonnesa lies along the windy coast of southwestern Sardinia, occupying a rugged landscape shaped by the mining heritage of the Iglesiente region. This distinctive coastal terrain provides the ideal habitat for 18 protected food and wine denominations that overlap across its borders. Leading this local selection is the Girò di Cagliari DOC, a historical red dessert wine cultivated across a zone of 182 municipalities. Nourished by salty sea breezes and sun-baked soils, Gonnesa's vineyards also produce the rare, golden Nasco di Cagliari DOC, translating the wild Mediterranean scrub directly into the glass.
