Accordini Igino - Gino Cordin srl
San Pietro in Cariano · Province of Verona · Veneto
From three hectares of vineyard in San Pietro in Cariano, Accordini Igino carries a story dating back to 1821, when the family's grapes fermented solely for domestic consumption. The transition from home production to the national and international market occurred under the guidance of Guido Accordini and his wife Liliana, who were able to modernize the cellar without severing ties with traditional practices. Today, the house works with two Valpolicella denominations, both DOCG: Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella, the latter offered in both passito and sparkling versions. Giving body to these wines are the classic grape varieties of the area — Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella — which draw their character from the rows of San Pietro in Cariano. Visitors to the estate can closely observe this dual soul, both sweet and powerful, and understand how the most concentrated range of Veronese wines originates from a small patch of land.
