Agostini Giacomo

Near San Gimignano, Giacomo Agostini's family estate cherishes a connection dating back to 1969, finding its voice since 1974 in its sole denomination: Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG. Five hectares, three generations, and today, the leadership of Giacomo, representing the third. The winery stands along the ancient Via Francigena, in a landscape where medieval towers and the Tuscan countryside have coexisted for centuries. Alongside viticulture, the estate also cultivates olives and some complementary red grape varieties, but it is the native white grape that defines its identity. Vernaccia DOCG thus originates from a border territory between hill and village, where Mediterranean agriculture has found its balance over time. The method is that of a family-sized operation: generational continuity is not a displayed sign, but the concrete way in which the daily work of the vineyard is handed down, row after row.
