Agrivar

Agrivar operates from Palazzo di Varignana, in Castel San Pietro Terme, within the Romagna Albana DOCG area in the province of Bologna. Since 2015, the company has cultivated Albana and other white grape varieties suitable for the Emilia-Romagna tradition, crafting still white wines and passiti that exceed twelve percent alcohol, all within this single reference denomination. The foundation of these wines' character lies in the soil and climate: the calcareous soils and the region's continental weather leave a distinct mark, which the winery embraces rather than corrects. Albana is thus presented in different versions, from the dryness of the still wines to the concentration of the passiti, showcasing the versatility of a long-underestimated grape variety.
