From Agliano Terme, Giancarlo Alciati's farm cultivates three guaranteed denominations (DOCG) that together span 183 Piedmontese municipalities. The repertoire combines characterful reds and a white profile: Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato vinified with Barbera or Brachetto, Terre Alfieri obtained from Arneis and Nebbiolo, and Barbera d'Asti subjected to a minimum aging of four months. Alcohol levels remain contained, between 12 and 12.5 degrees, a sign of a measured interpretation of the Asti fruit. This yields a range that juxtaposes the aromatic vibrancy of Ruchè, the structure of Barbera, and the dual soul—white and red—of Terre Alfieri, without one type prevailing over the others.
