Colli di Parma DOC

Alessandri Ornella operates within the Colli di Parma DOC, covering fifteen municipalities nestled in the hills south of the Emilian city. Here, Barbera, Bonarda, and Croatina find their ideal terrain, and from these dark-skinned grape varieties, the winery produces a deliberately varied range: still reds, frizzante, and spumante versions, all with a minimum alcohol content of 11%, as stipulated by the regulations. The choice is not specialization in a single style but rather a broad spectrum: the same ampelographic heritage interpreted in different ways, from still wines to sparkling. It's a way of interpreting the Parma hills that prioritizes the versatility of local grape varieties over a singular focus. The winery is not open to visitors, thus entrusting the wines themselves with the task of describing the territory—Barbera and its perennial companions, expressed in all their forms, up to sparkling, within the confines of a denomination deeply rooted in the area's ampelographic tradition.
