Aversa DOCFalerno del Massico DOCGalluccio DOC+2

Based in Sessa Aurunca, along the Caserta wine corridor, Ager Falernus spans five denominations, each rooted in distinct terroirs. The heart of their production is Falerno del Massico, a red wine crafted from Aglianico and Piedirosso grapes, aged for at least twelve months. This is complemented by the white and red wines of Galluccio DOC and the historic sparkling wines of Aversa, made from Asprinio following an unbroken tradition. Completing this rich tapestry are two IGTs, Roccamonfina and Terre del Volturno, serving as a testing ground for more experimental white wines. This breadth is not a dispersion of effort; rather, it's a consequence of volcanic soils and maritime influences that transform from zone to zone, dictating unique varietal and winemaking choices for each denomination. Mastering both a structured red requiring long aging and a sparkling wine from an indigenous grape demands distinct interpretations of the same landscape. Ager Falernus skillfully unites these five souls without flattening their individuality, moving gracefully between the ancient memory of Falerno and the curiosity that drives experimentation in the Terre del Volturno.
