Lison DOCGPiave Malanotte DOCG

In Pramaggiore, on the eastern borders of Veneto, Giampaolo Mascarin's winery oversees two contrasting denominations. Lison DOCG is its white voice: built on Tai and complementary grape varieties, it extends across nineteen municipalities and conveys the mineral precision of this northeastern plain, with clean, dry-cut wines. On the red front, Piave Malanotte DOCG relies on Raboso Piave, a robust and tannic variety that requires thirty-six months of aging before softening its edge. The denomination covers a wide territory, sixty-two municipalities, and within that range, Raboso finds the conditions to express a depth that matures only with patience. By holding these two souls together—the taut white of Lison and the structured red of Piave—Mascarin captures two contrasting terroirs of the same Veneto, without attempting to reconcile them but allowing each to speak with its own grammar.
