Lison DOCGPiave Malanotte DOCG

In Fossalta di Portogruaro, in the northeastern Venetian plain, Giuseppe Cesco cultivates vineyards where the sea air meets the continental climate. This balance gives rise to two protected designation wines, distinct in color and temperament. The Lison DOCG, made from Tai and local white varieties, focuses on a crisp minerality starting at 12% alcohol, a product of the area's limestone-rich soils. The second expression is red: within the broader Piave area, Cesco crafts the Piave Malanotte DOCG, built on Raboso Piave and aged for at least 36 months, featuring dark fruits and tannins that make it a wine of structure and patience. The two denominations thus define the entire range of this Venetian corner, from the taut white to the long-aged red. Each bottle bears the imprint of the continental-maritime transition that governs the landscape, translated into opposing yet complementary styles.
