Asti DOCG

Founded in 1978, Mustela began with Moscato vineyards in Trezzo Tinella, nestled among the hills of Cuneo. The expansion of their land and the introduction of new technologies progressively pushed production beyond single-grape focus, leading to the birth of the Mustela brand in 2003, when cellar vinification opened up a portfolio of nine labels. The pivotal point remains the sole denomination they oversee: Asti DOCG, offered in a sparkling (spumante) version and complemented by still white wines made from aromatic grape varieties. Adherence to the production specifications includes a minimum alcohol content of 11.5% and traditional aging protocols that regulate the denomination, ensuring stylistic continuity behind the aromaticity of Moscato. Trezzo Tinella, somewhat off the beaten path of Piedmont's sparkling wine routes, offers the cool exposures necessary to maintain the acidity vital for these wines. The company is not open to visitors: its trajectory—from single-varietal rows to today's articulated range—is fully expressed in the glass, where the signature of Asti Moscato remains the constant trait of every label.
