AZ. AGR. PACENTI CRISTIAN
Cristian Pacenti's winery is located in Trecastelli, in the Ancona area, five kilometers from the Adriatic: the sea breeze tempers the seasons while the Apennines shelter it from cold winds. In this microclimate, four DOCG denominations are born, covering the entire Marche spectrum. The two Verdicchio Riserva wines—Verdicchio di Matelica and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi—age for eighteen months and embody the region's symbolic white grape variety; the Cònero, made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese, rests for at least twenty-four months before expressing its red structure. Completing the picture is Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, presented in the dual role of sparkling (spumante) and red, testifying to an interpretation of the territory that is not content with a single register. It's a wide range for a small-scale reality, where each label adheres to a different set of production specifications without losing the coherence of the place. The winery opens its doors for visits and tastings: an opportunity to experience, in a single tasting, the four oenological faces of Marche.
