Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCGCònero DOCGVerdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG+1

From Staffolo, in the Ancona hills, Azienda Agraria Zaccagnini oversees four denominations, all with DOCG status, among the most highly regarded areas of Marche. Verdicchio forms the cornerstone, in its two reserves of Castelli di Jesi and Matelica: a white wine that the winery offers still, as a sparkling wine made by Metodo Classico and Charmat, and even in late-harvest versions, proving its remarkable versatility. Around this core, active since 1973, the winery produces Conero reds from Montepulciano and Sangiovese, and the rare sparkling Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, made from a black Vernaccia grape that few cultivate. The result is a catalog that covers the entire chromatic and stylistic spectrum of the territory, from mineral whites to structured reds and distinctive sparkling wines. Each wine reflects demanding discipline in the vineyard and cellar, where stylistic choice always precedes yield, and nothing is left to improvisation.
