On the coast of Augusta, in the province of Syracuse, Azienda Agricola F.lli Petralia cultivates Femminello, the variety that forms the basis of Limone di Siracusa IGP. The orchard extends within the protected area of ten Syracuse municipalities, where the Mediterranean sun and sea breezes shape the fruits' chemistry throughout the year. It is a single denomination, but articulated over time: harvests succeed each other seasonally without pause. Primofiore, Bianchetto, and Verdello mark the calendar, and each harvest brings a different profile—pronounced juiciness and aromatic intensity that change from month to month.
