Azienda Agricola Forgione

In Prezza, within the L'Aquila territory, Azienda Agricola Forgione cultivates on slate-grey slopes where Montepulciano and Trebbiano yield fruit with mineral precision. The estate operates across six protected denominations, a range that covers the region's entire geographical scale: from the more circumscribed areas of Villamagna and Controguerra to the extensive zones of Abruzzo, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, and Cerasuolo. In essence, these are the three registers of Abruzzese viticulture—the red of Montepulciano, the white of Trebbiano, and the rosé of Cerasuolo—expressed both in the broad regional designations and in the hillside subzones. Each wine adheres to strict aging and alcohol content regulations; for example, the reds of Villamagna age for at least ten months to acquire structure and depth.
