Azienda Francesco Lamonarca & C. operates in Ruvo di Puglia, on the calcareous soils of the Central Murgia, focusing its work on three denominations, all linked to Castel del Monte, an area of ten municipalities beneath the Apulian plateau. Two are long-aging reds — the Nero di Troia Riserva and the Rosso Riserva — which the regulations mandate to twenty-four months of maturation and alcohol levels exceeding thirteen percent: hence the dark fruits, mineral tension, and tight texture imparted by the high-altitude microclimate. The third denomination shifts style: Bombino Nero, vinified as a rosé, brings lightness and vibrancy to one of the region's most delicate indigenous grape varieties. Together, the three wines paint a coherent portrait of the Murgia, where the same calcareous bedrock supports both the depth of the Riserva wines and the freshness of the rosé. The winery's work remains anchored to its territory of origin rather than enological trends. Public visits are not offered.
