AZIENDA VINICOLA PEPE RAIMONDO

Azienda Vinicola Pepe Raimondo is based in Castel San Lorenzo, in the province of Salerno, and draws from a range of protected denominations that cover a vast territory, from 58 up to 158 municipalities. Its repertoire extends from Castel San Lorenzo DOC, crafted from Barbera and Sangiovese, to the broader Cilento DOC area, and includes the IGT Colli di Salerno and Paestum, totaling five recognitions for both wine and oil. On the oenological front, the project relies on regional grape varieties: Aglianico, Piedirosso, Primitivo, and Coda di Volpe, which yield red and white wines that meet, if not exceed, the minimum alcohol content requirements of each classification. Completing the range is the Cilento DOP extra virgin olive oil: oils with a yellowish-green color, fruity aromas, and a distinctly spicy and bitter note. Wine and oil thus narrate the same Salernitan landscape from two complementary perspectives, with vines and olive trees side by side on the same soil.
