Ballianei Az. Agr.
Farra di Soligo · Province of Treviso · Veneto
On the slopes of Farra di Soligo, among the hills that define the Conegliano Valdobbiadene denomination, Ballianei cultivates Glera and native Treviso grape varieties in a single sparkling wine register. The company was founded in 1966 by Antonio Balliana, and since then, four generations have succeeded each other on the same land, carrying forward a viticulture that links family tradition to the rhythm of the hills. Prosecco DOCG remains the sole reference denomination, but it is expressed in a range that goes from dry white to more structured sparkling wines. This stylistic breadth finds its most recognizable point in the recently awarded Sui Lieviti Brut Nature selections, which are re-fermented in bottle, where Glera expresses a dry and vertical profile far from the more immediate versions. The atlas here records a producer who measures their identity by detail rather than by the breadth of the catalog. The doors are open: visitors to Farra di Soligo can taste the labels directly in the cellar and read, glass by glass, the signature of this corner of Valdobbiadene.
