Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG

Giuseppe Beghelli cultivates his vineyards in Valsamoggia, on the Colli Bolognesi, where Grechetto gentile and Pinot, vinified as white wines, find the balance that makes them recognizable. The hilly microclimate becomes the tool with which the company expresses Pignoletto in three versions — still, frizzante, and spumante — each bound by a minimum of 11.5% alcohol and careful grape selection. A single denomination, Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG, interpreted in all its possible forms. It is the altitude, along with the soil composition, that determines whether the wine remains still or develops a slight effervescence: two outcomes from the same grape variety, separated by subtle differences in site and winemaking choices. Across eleven municipalities, the DOCG certification demands a precision that Beghelli adopts as a method, measuring each bottle against the character of a hill that changes its face from vineyard to vineyard.
