Beppe Marino

Founded in 1972 in Santo Stefano Belbo, Cesare Pavese's hometown, Beppe Marino dedicates its work to a single denomination, Alta Langa DOCG. From Pinot Nero and Chardonnay cultivated in the one hundred and forty-eight municipalities of the Piedmontese area, spumante and spumante rosato are born, a method requiring long periods: at least thirty months of rest and a minimum alcohol content set by the regulations, around eleven and a half percent. The house's character stems from its unique approach to fermentation, yielding bubbles with a distinct Langhe imprint rather than a generic one. In 2016, production moved to the Monastero delle Suore del Moscato, a relocation that further strengthened the bond between the company and the sparkling wine vocation of these hills. Visitors to Santo Stefano Belbo will find a welcoming producer: an opportunity to understand, glass in hand, how Alta Langa builds finesse through patience, and how a Piedmontese metodo classico distinguishes itself from more immediate sparkling wines.
