Asti DOCG

From Sant'Antonio di Canelli, where Moscato finds its most qualified area of origin, the Bera family has cultivated vines since 1758. Twelve hectares have grown generation after generation, before Vittorio chose independent bottling in 1964—a decision that the following year earned him registration number 100 in the Register of Bottling Winegrowers. Today, Gianluigi, Alessandra, and Vittoria preserve that artisanal gesture, interpreting the aromatic white grape variety that best tells the story of these Piedmontese hills. The Asti DOCG denomination here encompasses different styles: sweet sparkling wine, the classic method version, and still white wines, all expressions of Moscato's potential in a highly suitable area. This production measures its consistency over a long period—almost three centuries of family continuity—rather than by the breadth of its catalog. In the glass, the aromatic character of a territory where the grape variety is both raw material and collective identity returns, and where direct bottling remains the choice that distinguishes the winegrower from a mere grape supplier.
