Aprutino Pescarese DOP

In Città Sant'Angelo, on the hills sloping towards the Pescara coast, Berardinucci Rita produces Aprutino Pescarese DOP extra virgin olive oil. This denomination covers 46 municipalities in Abruzzo and imposes some of the strictest rules in the national landscape: permitted varieties, pressing techniques, acidity thresholds, with each harvest required to fall within narrow parameters before it can bear the name. The resulting oils clearly express this terroir: green-golden hues, herbaceous notes, and a restrained fruitiness, never over the top. It's a profile that brings together two souls of the territory: the proximity to the Mediterranean, which softens and warms, and the inland mountain microclimates, which bring freshness and definition. The result does not seek immediate impact but consistency, and measures the producer's value by her ability to respect a demanding production specification without flattening the character of the area. Each vintage reflects the relationship between climate, cultivar, and the hand of those working at the oil mill.
