BERGAGLIO PIERCARLO

In Capriata d'Orba, on the southern edge of the province of Alessandria, Bergaglio Piercarlo operates within the boundaries of the DOCG Gavi, the denomination that unites eleven municipalities around the iconic white wine of lower Piedmont. Here, Cortese is the sole protagonist: a grape variety that the producer expresses across the entire stylistic range permitted by the denomination, from still white wines to frizzante versions and even spumante, each bound by a minimum alcohol content of 10.5%. This multi-faceted interpretation of a single grape variety reveals the minerality that defines the Gavi terroir, shaped by soils and microclimate capable of imparting tension and savoriness.
