Lugana DOC

In Pozzolengo, within the Lugana DOC area, Bertoletti Fabio entrusts the calcareous soils with the task of imparting complexity to Turbiana. A single denomination, yet explored across its entire range: from the crisp entry-level white to the more structured superiore, and finally to the riserva designed for longevity, each version built on a minimum alcohol content of eleven percent. The choice to remain a single-varietal producer is not a limitation but a discipline: it means allowing the soil and the vintage to mark the differences, rather than a style imposed in the cellar. The limestone here is the constant that holds together different interpretations of the same grape, giving the wines that saline tension that distinguishes Lugana from neighboring whites. The result is a coherent portrait, where single-varietal authenticity—refined through the parameters of the denomination—becomes the way to foster dialogue between terroir and producer's hand without one overshadowing the other. A work of subtraction, rather than addition, on the southern shores of Brescia's Lake Garda.
