BLENGIO Azienda Vitivinicola

On the rolling hills between Monferrato and Terre Alfieri, Blengio manages three Piedmontese guaranteed denominations (DOCG), all expressed through grape varieties that tell the story of southeastern Piedmont. The cornerstone is Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, a structured red obtained from a rare and circumscribed grape, flanked by the white and red versions of Terre Alfieri, where Arneis and Nebbiolo thrive in an area of eleven municipalities. Completing the picture is Barbera d'Asti, aged for at least four months to allow the region's emblematic grape to develop its inherent depth. This is not a juxtaposed catalog but an interpretation of microclimates: each bottle measures the distance separating one slope from another, the precision with which the hand recognizes the terroir. Blengio thus navigates between full-bodied reds and taut whites, maintaining for each denomination the discipline that defines its character, without yielding to a house style that would flatten the differences.
