From Serralunga d'Alba, nestled in the more austere Langhe where exceptional soils impart depth and longevity to the wines, Boasso Franco cultivates four DOCG denominations that showcase the full spectrum of Piemonte's Langhe region. At opposite ends of the spectrum are wines of time and wines of immediacy: Barolo, which ages for 38 months to reveal its structure, and Barbaresco at 26 months, both born from the Nebbiolo grape and the distinct character of these slopes. On the other hand, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani offer the freshness and immediate drinkability of Dolcetto, a daily counterpoint to the long waits for Nebbiolo. This is a comprehensive interpretation of the territory, bringing together wines for meditation and everyday enjoyment under the same skilled hand. The winery is an integral part of the hilly landscape, and the work in the vineyard remains key to understanding the true essence of the Langhe: not an abstract idea of terroir, but the concrete difference between one slope and another, between one vintage and the next.
