BOLLACASA SCREM

In Azzano Decimo, in the province of Pordenone, Bollacasa Screm operates within the Friuli Grave DOC, one of the largest viticultural areas in the northeast, encompassing 93 municipalities, alongside the broader regional Friuli DOC denomination. The style is classic for Friulian whites and reds: Pinot grigio, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon for white grapes, Merlot and Refosco dal peduncolo rosso among the reds. The character of these wines stems from a defined environmental context: a continental climate and alluvial, gravelly, well-draining soils—the "grave" that give the area its name. These conditions favor aromatic precision and a dry minerality rather than opulence. Between the two DOCs, the company thus has a broad and a more distinctive perimeter, moving along the varietal range that has made Pordenone's viticulture recognizable, where the landscape of pebbles dictates the pace of the wine.
