Bordone Gino

Roero DOCG

Bordone Gino operates within the Roero DOCG, one of Piedmont's most demanding denominations, spread across the nineteen municipalities that define the area on the left bank of the Tanaro. The producer covers its entire expressive range—red, white, and sparkling—relying on the two cornerstone grape varieties of the area: Nebbiolo for structure and Arneis for aromatic freshness. Adherence to the regulations is evident in the timings and figures. Roero red rests for at least twenty months before reaching the commercial bottle, a wait that builds tannic texture and evolutionary potential, while the minimum alcohol content of 12.5% speaks to the altitude and precision of a cool climate that slowly ripens the grapes. These parameters allow no shortcuts and demand patient work, where every bottle bears the mark of an area that rewards rigor. The clear and vertical character of Roero emerges precisely from this discipline shared by all producers in the area.
