Borgo del Tiglio

Cormons · Province of Gorizia · Friuli-Venezia Giulia

Collio Goriziano DOC

In Cormons, where the Collio Goriziano carves out hills of limestone and clay, Borgo del Tiglio interprets terroir as a form of resistance: the constant pressure of the earth forging an uncompromising expression. The winery draws from the indigenous Friulian repertoire—Pinot grigio, Sauvignon, Ribolla gialla, Friulano, and the aromatic Traminer—to craft precise and distinctly mineral wines, all under the single denomination that guides their entire operation. Their method rejects established recipes. Each vintage becomes a dialogue with the soil rather than a repeated procedure, and vineyard work transforms into a source of knowledge even before it becomes a productive act. The result is a taut, mineralized profile, where the producer's touch measures itself against the characteristics of the Gorizian subsoil rather than imposing upon them. The outcome speaks the language of the place: dry, defined, recognizable, always anchored to the material from which it originates and never bent to conventional taste.
