Borgo La Stella

At an altitude of six hundred meters, near Radda in Chianti, Borgo La Stella has been shaping Britta and Matthias Trinker's project since 2001. The elevated position, surrounded by woods and overlooking the Sienese hills, defines the character of the vineyard: marked temperature excursions and a forest context that accompany grape maturation in the Chianti Classico DOCG area. The wine is born from the encounter between Sangiovese, the backbone of the territory, and the international complements of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, a red grape blend aiming for a clear and recognizable profile. This choice reflects the uniqueness of the high-altitude terroir—soils, woods, altitude—along with the twenty-year commitment of a family that has built its idea of Tuscany step by step. Not a superficial operation, but a twenty-year journey to translate a vision into wine. The result is a Chianti Classico with a decisive character, where altitude and exposure leave a precise imprint, and where the Trinker family's touch is recognized in the consistency of a project pursued without shortcuts.
