Bressani Giuseppe

In Nimis, on the hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Bressani Giuseppe oversees three DOCG denominations that showcase the regional white wine spectrum in two directions. On one side, the sweet wines: Ramandolo, made from Verduzzo Friulano giallo grapes naturally dried to achieve over fourteen percent alcohol, and Picolit dei Colli Orientali, a liqueur-like or *passito* wine capable of exceeding fifteen degrees. On the other, the dry Rosazzo, which blends Friulano, Sauvignon, Pinot bianco, and Chardonnay into a taut white wine, characterized by minerality and rigor. This offering rejects standardization and contrasts two ways of interpreting the same Friulian soil: the sugar concentration of dried-grape wines and the crisp dryness of the still wine. Each label functions as a direct mirror of its origin, without stylistic mediations that might homogenize its character. Between sweetness and tension, the common thread remains fidelity to the land that these three denominations, each in its own way, highlight.
