BRUCIATI FERDINANDO
Corinaldo · Province of Ancona · Marche
From Corinaldo, in the Ancona area, Ferdinando Bruciati unites the two enological souls of Marche, white and red, distributed across four guaranteed denomination zones. Serrapetrona provides Vernaccia nera, a grape variety from which both sparkling and still red wines are born; Cònero responds with structured blends of Montepulciano and Sangiovese, which rest for at least twenty-four months before release. The Verdicchio chapter splits into two reserves, both aged eighteen months in bottle but originating from different landscapes: the cool, narrow slopes of Matelica on one side, the broader amphitheater of Castelli di Jesi on the other. The distance between the two expressions measures how much geography matters here: same grape variety, opposing climatic pressures, recognizably distinct outcomes. It's a repertoire that foregoes monoculture to embrace the variety of Marche denominations, interpreting each zone according to its maturation times and balances, without seeking a single profile to impose on territories that speak different languages.
