Bruno Franco

In Canale, in the Roero region, Bruno Franco cultivates the two souls of the territory: Nebbiolo, which here yields reds of character, and Arneis, from which elegant whites and sparkling wines are born. The winery, founded in 1932, has adopted organic farming as a consolidated choice over the years, not as a recent label, and has built its work on that consistency. The single denomination, Roero DOCG, unites both expressions under the same name. In the cellar, the hand balances family heritage with a declared ecological awareness, aging the wines with respect for the terroir and for maturation times—Nebbiolo demands patience, Arneis readiness, and Bruno Franco accommodates both. The result is a Roero that doesn't force the hand, but lets the geography speak for itself. The winery is open to visitors: it's worth a stop in Canale to taste, side by side, the red and white that this stretch of Piedmont can yield from the same land.
