Campo al Mare

Campo al Mare operates in the Bolgheri terroirs, where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot find the ideal conditions to build depth and structure. The winery navigates between two contiguous denominations, Bolgheri DOC and the subzone Bolgheri Sassicaia, and on this foundation, it articulates a range that doesn't forgo white wines: Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc, over 11.5% alcohol, designed for approachable drinking. The pinnacle, however, lies in the long-aged reds. The Sassicaia-style selections require at least twenty-four months of maturation before release, emerging with the complexity that the name itself implies. This is a typical dual approach of this Tuscan coastal strip, where the same winery alternates between wines of immediacy and wines of patience.
