Cantina Borgo La Caccia

From Pozzolengo, in the province of Brescia, Cantina Borgo La Caccia works with four protected denominations that revolve around the Mantuan world: the two DOCs of Lambrusco Mantovano and Garda Colli Mantovani, flanked by the IGTs Provincia di Mantova and Quistello. The repertoire primarily focuses on Lambrusco, expressed in its varieties—Viadanese, Maestri, and others—with Grappello Ruberti and Grappello Grasparossa marking the local character. Alongside the sparkling reds, white blends from Garganega and Turbiana complete a production that covers multiple registers without dispersing. The common thread is the territory, that of the morainic hills surrounding the winery and defining its landscape. Here, the four denominations do not function as separate titles but as complementary readings of the same viticultural area, between the Garda shore and the Mantuan hinterland. The winery welcomes visits and tastings: a stop allows one to journey between vineyards, tasting room, and cellar, following the Lambrusco from the morainic rows to the glass.
