Cantina Cominium

Cantina Cominium was founded in 1999, immediately after the recognition of the Atina DOC, when two professionals purchased their first plot of land in Alvito, in the province of Frosinone, within the Ciociaria region. The timing was no coincidence: the winery has been linked from its inception to a young denomination that, in southern Lazio, chose to focus on Bordeaux grape varieties. Here, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah find an adopted home, expressed in red, riserva, and white versions that demonstrate this corner of the Apennines' aptitude for ripening transalpine grapes. For the winery, wine is not merely a commodity but a memory: the custodian of a territory's past, present, and future, a living synthesis of local history, art, and culture. This perspective elevates production beyond the logic of a simple harvest, embedding it in a broader narrative where the bottle becomes the way a Ciociaria community tells its own story and that of the surrounding landscape.
