Cantina Coop. Rif. Fond. di Mesagne

In Mesagne, amidst the sun-drenched vineyards of the Brindisino area, this cooperative brings together the work of many growers in a single collective effort. The production area extends across two contiguous denominations of the Apulian Ionian Arch: Brindisi DOC and Squinzano DOC, both weaving together the northern Salento landscape. At the heart of their repertoire are the black grape varieties that define the identity of these lands, primarily Negroamaro, accompanied by the rarer Susumaniello. From these grapes come structured reds, full-bodied rosés, and whites, all with a minimum alcohol content of 12 percent. The strength of the cooperative model lies in harmonizing the nuances of different plots without losing the coherence of a shared signature: two DOCs that tell the same Mediterranean story from slightly different angles. The result is a territorial expression that prioritizes stylistic continuity over the pursuit of a single cru, a testament to viticulture conceived as a shared enterprise rather than a solo performance.
