Cantina di Conegliano Vittorio Veneto e Casarsa was born from the aggregation of wineries and territories: over time, Sacile, Fontanafredda, and the Viticoltori Friuliani joined the original units of Vittorio Veneto and Conegliano, an integration that created a cooperative spanning two regions. Its vineyards stretch from the foothills of Veneto down to Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and its members work a single great denomination, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. From the five permitted varieties, still, frizzante, and especially spumante white wines are produced, all with a minimum alcohol content of 10.5%. It's the solidity of northeastern viticultural cooperation translated into a bottle: many hands, many rows, one shared signature. The Vittorio Veneto headquarters, in the province of Treviso, welcomes visitors: it's worth a stop for a visit and a guided tasting among the denomination's bubbles, with the Prosecco hills forming the horizon.
