Cantina di Monteforte d'Alpone
Founded in 1952 on the eastern side of the Veronese area, Cantina di Monteforte d'Alpone brings together six hundred associated farms on a volcanic plateau. The cooperative manages four protected denominations distributed across 27 municipalities: two DOCG — Soave Superiore and Recioto di Soave — alongside the Lessini Durello DOC and Monti Lessini DOC, offering a range from dry white to passito and spumante. The wines' character originates from the rock: the basalt soils, dark with reddish and silvery reflections, impart a distinct and recognizable minerality to the whites. From Garganega, the heart of Soave, to Durella dei Lessini, and even Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay, the winery interprets the volcanic terroir in a wide range of styles, where the same geological matrix reappears in very different labels. The cooperative dimension, with its member base rooted in the territory, combines production scale with fidelity to a landscape that remains the true hallmark of these wines.
