Cantina La Nicchia

The story of La Nicchia begins in 1950, when Giovanni purchased the farm that still forms the heart of the estate today. Since then, three generations have passed the torch — from Angelo's agricultural foundation to the modern facilities envisioned by Walter and Annalisa — shaping the vineyards spread across the hills of Montepulciano. In 2022, the winery completed its winemaking structure, bringing the entire production cycle under one roof for the first time. The wine that epitomizes this journey is Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, made from Sangiovese, here known as Prugnolo gentile, and aged for at least 24 months before bottling. It's a long wait that demands trust and rewards with structure.
