In Nizza Monferrato, Cantina Sant'Evasio has chosen to work exclusively with top-tier denominations: three DOCGs that map out the most authentic Monferrato. Four generations have taken turns at the helm, guiding production with the declared intention of leaving a clear and lasting impression on those who taste their wines, rooting their craft in the micro-terroirs of the area. The range of reds moves from Barbera d'Asti, austere and aged for a minimum of four months, to Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, where the grape variety that gives the denomination its name is blended with Barbera and Brachetto into a recognizable and intensely fragrant wine. Alongside the reds, Terre Alfieri brings Arneis, a white with a mineral and taut profile that completes the picture. This portfolio is built on the character of each appellation rather than on quantity, where every label is measured by the temperament of its land of origin and the interpretation of Monferrato's soils.
